When I first got this keyboard with my Slate 7 it drove me crazy by missing the first character I typed if I paused for any length of time. I always had to enter passwords twice, for example.

I then discovered that you can fix this with a Windows Bluetooth setting, "Allow the computer to turn off the device to save power." This is checked by default. I unchecked it; no more skipped characters. Bliss.

I like that the keyboard is lightweight but fairly rigid, which is good for typing when you are not at your desk.
