Update 7/18/2012:
I just tried a USB flash drive and USB sound card. Both work perfectly (although I didn't try the microphone port on the sound card).

I also used this to mount my old Android phone as a USB device. I could transfer files between my old and new phone directly, which is very convenient. I used Astro file manager to browse to /mnt/UsbDriveA and all the files were there.

Finally, I tried a Logitech webcam. Unfortunately this is the only device...
